Admissions

A simple and supportive path to joining the JIRSM family.

Welcome to JIRSM Admissions

At JIRSM, we aim to make the admission journey transparent, simple, and welcoming for every family. Our process ensures fairness, clarity, and a holistic view of every child’s potential. Below is a step-by-step guide for parents and students.

Admission Process / How It Works

Enquiry & Initial Contact
  • Fill out our Online Enquiry / Admission Interest Form (or request a physical form from school office).

  • Share basic details: child’s name, grade applying for, previous school (if any), parent contact details, etc.

  • Our admissions team will reach out to schedule a campus visit or an admission discussion.

Tip for parents: A campus visit helps you and your child experience the environment, facilities, and atmosphere before applying.

Submission of Application
  • Download and complete the Admission Application Form (or get a printed form from the school).

  • Submit along with required documents: birth certificate, previous school records (if transferring), ID / address proof, passport-size photographs, and any other documents specified.

  • Pay the non-refundable application / registration fee (if applicable) to process the application.

Eligibility Check

We assess applications based on:

  • Seat availability for the requested grade (day-school or boarding).

  • Age and grade compatibility (based on birth certificate / previous school records).

  • For transfer students — performance record from previous school and transfer certificates (as applicable).

If eligible, the child is selected for the next step.

Assessment / Entrance Test & Interview
  • For certain grades, applicants may undergo a written test (for example: English, Mathematics, General Knowledge — depending on grade).

  • Younger children (pre-primary / primary) may have informal readiness evaluation through observation or interactive activities.

  • An interview or interaction with the child and parent(s) helps us understand the child’s temperament, needs and expectations, and align with school ethos.

Admission Letter
  • Successful candidates receive an Admission Letter.

  • Parents / guardians are required to confirm acceptance within a specified time by submitting the required documents and paying the admission / fee deposit (if any).

  • On confirmation, the student’s spot is reserved and necessary formalities are completed.

Fee Payment & Enrollment
  • Pay relevant fees (tuition, boarding — if applicable, admission charges, other applicable charges) by the specified deadline.

  • Submit all required documents (original + photocopies) for verification.

  • Complete any additional formalities (e.g., submitting medical / health records, photographs, guardianship forms for boarders, ID cards).

Important Notes & Policies

  • Admissions are subject to seat availability — applying early increases chances of securing admission, especially for boarding seats.

  • For transfer students enrolling from other schools, a Transfer Certificate (TC) and previous academic records are mandatory.

  • Admission for boarding students (hostel / residential) is dependent on availability of seats in respective boarding houses.

  • The school reserves the right to conduct additional assessments, interviews or medical check-ups as required.

  • Application / registration fees are non-refundable.
