    Your child will be allowed to visit home during
    a. Midterm Vacations: after midterm examinations
    b. Christmas and
    c. Annual Vacations

    The details of vacations will be mentioned in the academic calendar and displayed at the beginning of every academic year and emails with respect to the calendar of events are forwarded to the parents of our students so as to enable them to plan for these vacations.

              Q: How good is JIRSM food and dining?

    Food and dining facilities at JIRSM are on par if not better than what is offered in the best-known international schools. Our Kitchens are spacious and well equipped. Our trained and dedicated chefs strive to provide healthy and hygenic food to our students. Here we serve only pure vegetarian food and sufficient care is taken to ensure that the food is nutritious and tasty. An experienced Dietician ensures the quality and nutritional value of the food being served.

    To suit the food habits of students of different cultures, variety of dishes of South India, North India, Continental and Chinese are served.

    A state of art dining hall has been built so as to make dining a very enjoyable experience for the students. Maintenance of proper hygiene in the dining rooms & kitchen is given utmost importance.

              Q: How is my child looked after if he/she is sick?

    The child is kept under observation by a team of full time resident doctor and nurse who stay in the school campus; these trained professionals give special attention to the children. The nutritionist takes care of diet of the children for speedy recovery along with the prescribed medicines and we have our own pharmaceutical shop and equipment to cope up with the requirements of the hospital.

              Q: What is parents’ role?

    Parents should keep in touch with the school authorities to know the progress of the child. Parents will be given the hotline numbers and E-mail ids through which they can keep in touch with the concerned faculty. This will help in getting first hand information about the child's overall development during his/her stay at JIRSM. Parents will be given the phone numbers of the concerned house and room number of the child to keep in touch personally with the child.

              Q: What does my child need to carry to School?

    The child should carry their personnel belongings and other necessary items for daily use. This involves bathing kit, slippers, cloths, stationary equipment etc. just a few to mention.

              Q: What are the dress and uniform prescriptions?

    The concept of having uniform is to have equality among the children, which will give a sense of teamwork and co-operation among fellow friends and classmates. JIRSM provides uniform for the child depending on the class and house he/she is put into. Each house will have its own colour. There will be a day off for the uniform, so that the child can wear the normal cloth of his/her choice to take away from the routine schedule.

              Q: What about study tours, field trips and excursions?

    Tours and excursion will be organized for the children for constant interaction with the nature and to learn about the things, which cannot be taught within the boundaries of the school. Tours will be knowledge based and more of a study tour, where children will have a first hand practical knowledge about the things they study theoretically and can experience what they study. Tours will involve visiting Historical Places, Museums, National parks, Botanical gardens and other places of interest where the children can learn, enjoy as well as gain exposure to the outer world and the technological advancements in the field of science.
    Every year the students get to choose the trips within India and the overseas trips. The Trips within India are quite popular among the students flocked from the other parts of the world. This gives them the best opportunities to enrich themselves with the rich culture and heritage of India. The destinations are selected to suite the interest of the students.
