JIRSM is lively and colourful throughout the year. Students enjoy the flovour of all the festivals like Dewali, Ramzan, Holy, Durga Pooja and take part in joy and splendour of different activities. All the festivals and events are celebrated with traditional glamour imparting the values in the students.

Students of JIRSM are the front-runners in different School level competitions and events. The authorities conduct industrial visits to help students get exposure to the real world.

Many outdoor activities and adventure sports like trekking, rock climbing, river rafting etc., are regularly organized to keep the spirit of the students high.

Ramzan :The holy month of Ramzan is very auspicious to the Muslims the world over. It is celebrated the next day after the crescent (Idd ka chand) for the 10th lunar month of the Islamic calendar is sighted. The Muslims are ordained to observe fast for 30 days (sometimes 29 days, owing to the early sighting of the crescent) starting with the sighting of the new moon and end it after seeing the new moon the next month. This year, the Idd would fall either on 8th or 9th of January.

Diwali, nation-wide scale on Amavasya - the 15th day of the dark fortnight of the Hindu month of Ashwin (Aasho) (October / November) every year. It symbolises that age-old culture of our country, which teaches us to vanquish ignorance that subdues humanity and to drive away darkness that engulfs the light of knowledge. Diwali, the festival of lights even today in this modern world projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life. of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.

DurgaPooja- a national festival of the Hindus takes place in the month of Aswin or Kartik i.e. months of September and October according to the English calendar year when melow sun treads softly in Bengal landscape. The spirit of excited festivity is omnipresent throughout Durga Puja in Bengal and elsewhere when the image of the ten headed, a beautiful but fierce goddess on her lion charger is worshipped with great gusto.
